Whether you require a second set of eyes to proof your document for misspellings or repetitive phrasing, or more substantive rewriting to correct grammar, syntax, and style, we are here to help. When we edit your writing, all revisions are tracked in Word, allowing you to see clearly what changes have been made to your document. If you have particular passages that seem to you especially concerning or problematic, feel free to highlight them before you submit and we’ll make sure to give those sections special attention: we will utilize the comment function in Word in order to offer suggestions concerning word choice, alternative phrasings, or stylistic advice. Do you need to format your document or bibliographical entries according to a special style sheet given to you by a journal or editor? Let us know—we’ll be happy to assist. Once we accept a job, we typically complete most work within five business days. Please let us know if you have particular working deadlines.
When we edit your document, we activate Track Changes in Microsoft Word so that you can accept or reject individual revisions. Additionally, comments will be inserted into the text to ask clarifying questions or to provide alternative suggestions or advice. A second, clean version of the text will be delivered to you as well so that you can easily survey the final product without the clutter of the tracked revisions.

Please let us know what kind of work you would like to have revised, and please include the approximate word count of your document. Please also tell us your working deadline. We pride ourselves on prompt services. Depending on the job, we offer an estimate or flat rate in advance. Shorter works (abstracts, reviews, proposals) may be given a flat rate starting at US$45. For longer works (article-length), a formal quote will include a working hourly-rate. To help you gauge your total cost in advance, we work with the following rates:
Proofreading : US$25–35/hr
Copy editing: US$35–45/hr
When offering a quote, we estimate approximately 1,200–1,400 words per hour. As an example, a 16-page (double-spaced) paper of 5,200 words (not including footnotes or endnotes) in need of light proofreading would be given an estimate of US$110; a paper of the same length in need of moderate-to-substantial English revision would be given an estimate of US$195. Formal quotes are given once we review a two-page sample of your writing in order to determine better whether your document requires basic proofreading or more substantive revisions.
For longer works (e.g., dissertations or monographs), please contact us directly. We would need to discuss your working deadline in order to ensure that we can meet your needs, given our work with other clients.
Methods of payment (major credit cards, bank transfer, etc.) will be communicated in your estimate, and we are happy to accommodate the needs of our clients.
